I am here for Dating, Friends and Networking

About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorI'm working in the Big Apple and living the city life after seven years in Florida and growing up in Kansas. I'm pretty grounded and miss my friends and family, but I'm no Midwestern Republican. Music, history and good friends are my loves of loves, oh, and yes, sports, specifically baseball, of course, which pays the bills. Away from work, you can catch me relaxing, writing, shooting photos surfing the web or taking in a good live rock show or comedy jam with kindred souls (or planning my next trip to New Orleans). Oh yeah, I'm the guy on the subway occasionally actually jamming out to his iPod while he reads his Newsweek or Rolling Stone or writing in a notebook. The roomies and I recently adopted a cat. Definitely has made our kickass downtown Chilltown apartment a little more homey (Eck rules, check out photos in the album).

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Friends who share some of the same passions for life, love, laughing, music, politics, sports or history. Meeting new people, period, is a general joy, though it isn't ALWAYS that way up here. But anyone who loves comedy clubs and baseball or football and is disgusted by George Bush's complete ignorance is probably going to be a friend of mine. (Hello, Secret Service watch list peeps, I love ya!) Level-headed people with big hearts and old souls are generally instant friends.

Lyrics: Out of your neighborhood

Sorry, it's been awhile. I owe you something more substantial, but for now, here's something in simplistic E-Dawg fashion I cobbled together this morning. I'm blaming it on Adam Duritz. Cat, do you st...

Lyrics: The Last Man Standing

Just some vodka-influenced scribblings with no direct influence, though post-mortem, it reminds me of one of my favorite songs ("I'm Still Here," check it out) off the Vertical Horizon major-label fol...

Based on someone else's story, but I think many of us have been here. I know I have. Celia Chavez, I'd love for you to do a more proper version (one verse tweaked, at least) of this. WASN'T ENOUG...

Lyrics: Be careful of the high dive

Jacked about in a few hours finally seeing Canadian Matthew Good, who I’ve been a fan of for probably about seven years and consider a real "find" from my time in Florida -- as well as a sometim...

Lyrics: Ruin It All

Haven't posted many lyrics lately. The writing hasn't completely frozen up, but the topics and their expression has been pretty boring for my taste -- not that these aren't -- I just get tired of...
