About Me

~Le Musee de Me-Ness~ Nous sommes les échos d'un tout le dieu et un dieu est Narcissus."It's never felt more Canadian to be Canadian than it does now!" ~ Douglas Coupland, Canadian novelist, expert.
"Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind" (A.E.)The world of Mim includes: BOOKS!!! music films, trees, photographs...Add a few more books, some music, maybe some Shins, Edith Piaf or Regina Spketor, art, DANCE and some SLam for kicks -- oh and add a few creepy, poorly made Japanese flicks *UZUMAKI*!!! And you have my life in Escher =] Are you someone looking for a real connection instead of just the "hi-bye" of ant/sheep/people life? I was born searching for it, and yet somehow it passes me by on a train. Even when I am the one on that train. So, here I am still waiting and projecting what I want most in life~ a real connection. And though I have the most amazing, connected group of people in my life, the connection I seek requires all places met: mental, spiritual, physical, emotional, ...and importantly conversational. In this world where all we do is bump into one another, saying sorry, excuse me, do you have the time? I want someone to stand still with. Thinkers expecially. Music lovers -- phenomenally. I am incandescent looking for a light.Ok, here's what's left of the old profile, I like these aspects best: I find people who make work an art and art their life exceptionally facinating. My greatest hobby is thinking. It takes up 87-98% of each day, and most of my sleep time as well :DI try to establish where I am unfulfilled and evolve that area. Sometimes I find though that everything is in the place it should be, even if I am not happy but perhaps still satisfied with it. I want to see with both eyes open & unclouded by anything, but especially by hate.Oh yea, and I like observation, thinking and road trips that allow my a looong stretch of road space to do both to a good record. The We Are Right does not decide who is right. Only who is left. The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed. ~ Albert Einstein

Heroes:

There are many people who light up my life to guide me to my path :Zoe & Rod ~ who are what I want to be when I grow up.And Portland. It is the most beautiful city I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know, and upon our first greeting I could just tell immediately that I was HOME. I think it is important when one finds home, they should do their best to settle there. http://www.thehungersite.comChuck Palahniuk & Paulo Coelho for always saying what I want to writeMy best friends Brandon, Derrick and Tod for always showing me an infinite amount of wisdom & self growth that FAR surpasses our peer intellect and spoils my head rotten ;)My good friend & roommate Tim who always cares about people and who is the greatest iceberg since God. :) Much love there. My childhood love Ryn -- & her sisters --for being the strongest most creative & amazing empathic women I have had the honor to know. And my mentors: Johnnie Terry (the only person I will allow to teach me public school philosophy in this area) & Peter S Beagle one of the most gifed writers I have had the honor to know.Another person who always seems to show me exactly who I am, even when its less than pleasureable is a man whose category has recently been called into question -- his was once a closest friend, but now ... who knows. His name is Ecko and although I may be seen as less than zero in his eyes, he will always be considered my close friend.I have nurmerous other heroes who live in my heart ~ any one who managed to bring something bigger into my heart evolves as a hero to me. My two favorite heroes though, remain infinite my mother (a genius of the scholastic measure without exaggeration present) and my sister Halley -Akane who survives EVERYTHING with a smile. She is a stand for my memory of what life can be if we remember to laugh. I love each of these people uniquely and powerfully -- and full of passion.Duane Michaels & Michael Kenna.oh, and Taos ~ i always have passion for a soul
