***ABOUT PAPA ROACH***
Papa Roach is a ROCK band that started out with a roar in the main stream music industry with "Infest" in 2000, then things died down alittle with "Love hate tragedy" in 2002, then in 2004 they busted out into popularity again with "Getting away with murder" and are still kicking ass more than ever with "Paramour Sessions" which was released in 2006.
***INFO ON the BAND MEMBERS***
JACOBY DAKOTA SHADDIX
Jacoby Dakota Shaddix (born July 28, 1976, in Mariposa, California) is the lead singer of the Hard rock band Papa Roach He also goes by the pseudonyms Coby Dick (used on the Infest album) and Jonny Vodka but he only used Coby Dick until 2001. He also calls himself Dakota Gold.
Jacoby is also working on a side project in the post-hardcore band Fight of your life.
Jacoby is also working as the host for MTV's Scarred.
Jacoby Shaddix went to Vacaville High School in Vacaville, California.
Shaddix has a wife named Kelly, and two sons named Mikale Cielo Shaddix (born Mar 24, 2002) and Jagger Shaddix (born Sep 13, 2004).
TRIVIA-
Jacoby is the host for a new show on MTV called Scarred depicting the song "Alive" as the main theme. It is about extreme sports stunts gone terribly wrong.
Jacoby Shaddix has appeared on the MTV hit show "Cribs" showing people around his home.
Some of his influences are: Faith No More, Social Distortion, Linkin Park, Sum 41, MC5, Poison, Fugazi, Green Day and Stone Temple Pilots.
Jacoby has two brothers, Bryson and Trevor. Their parents divorced in 1982, when Shaddix was 6.
Shaddix has a small degree of ADHD.
He played the clarinet and was into football as a kid.
Two of his favorite movies are Memento and The Blair Witch Project.
Shaddix worked as a janitor in his younger years.
His favorite books include; "The Power Of Now" and "Days of War, Nights of Love".
He appeared in the Deftones' video Bored.
TATOO'S-
Shaddix has numerous tattoos, many of which he gets done by Vanitykills' frontman Jassen Jensen (formerly Die Trying).
"Born to Rock" across his chest.
A diamond on his right forearm.
The Chinese symbol for "good" on the right side of his neck, "evil" on the left. His wife, Kelly, shares these tattoos.
A "good" and "evil" bird on each side of his chest.
A star glowing on top of his chest.
He also has a burned down house on his arm, symbolising his family life was when he grew up.
Stars on both his ear lobes.
The text "What does not kill me makes me stronger" on his left arm and "Born with nothing, die with everything" (which is also a Papa Roach song) on his right.
An old style microphone on his left forearm.
"L-O-V-E" on his right fist (one on each finger, except from the thumbs) and "H-A-T-E" on his left. This is connected to his belief that the human has both good and evil sides in which they must control. As he once stated; "I deal a lot with the line between good and evil. And I tiptoe down that line myself. I have a side that's responsible, a part that knows right from wrong, and I have my punk rock, 'fuck everything' side." (The song "Tightrope" on the albums Let 'Em Know and Infest, as a hidden track in the latter, reflects this "tiptoeing down that line".)
His wife's (Kelly) name in gothic letters.
A Butterfly (Mariposa in Spanish) on his neck, representing the town he was born in.

Please check for inaccuracies and modify as needed, citing the sources against which it was checked.
On war-
"My father was a Vietnam veteran and they were treated like shit when they got home. I don’t support the war or Bush, but I support our troops; I want them to come home soon."
On struggle-
"I'm not looking for sympathy, just understanding."
On his music-
"I'm super-flamboyant, super-happy, and super-pissed-off," he understates, "I'm off the hook at shows. I've done stupid things where our lawyer was going, 'You can't be doing that!' but I've also hugged a million kids. How Nirvana was when they came out - that new edge of giving kids a release of emotions - that's how I hope people connect with Papa Roach's music. I want to cause every emotion in people. I want them to fight, to fuck; I want to bring out their violence, their sadness, and their happiness."
About Scars-
"I was out on the road and I ran into a friend that I know from a long time ago. I was in Vegas and he was just havin' a really bad time, and I'm the kind of person who carried the weight of the world around on my shoulders, you know? If someone's havin' a bad day, I'm always like - I'm havin' a bad day instantly. This song was just like that breaking point of, like, 'Well, I can't help you fix yourself, but at least I can say I tried', you know? It drove to the point that later that night I just totally flipped out and, ah, got into a fight with a trash can...kinda funny. Uh, I, uh, ended up in the hospital with, like, eleven staples in my head later that night. That song was stemmed from a really emotional night in Vegas."
On touring Ozzfest-
"I was just frustrated from playing in front of rows of chairs every night with 40-year-old guys with their arms crossed going, 'We want Ozzy, we want Ozzy". There was one show where I was so sick of the crowd it made me want to just destroy them. So I pulled my pants down, took a shit on a towel and threw it in the crowd because that's how I felt about the show."
On struggles-
“We were 6 feet under. A lot of people gave up on us, including fans and critics and show promoters and record labels.â€
On singing/rapping-
“The rapping's gone. I don't feel like rapping. I'm just over that, I just want to be a rocker. It's what I wanted to be when I was a kid.â€
On the future-
“This is my dream. I ain't giving up. I see a band like Green Day, and they've had their ups and downs, but they've continued with heart. We look up to that. I see Papa Roach being around for another 15 years. We've always wanted to be a career band.â€
On lovehatetragedy "flopping"-
“It's kind of cool that we've quietly been selling a million albums. We knew (the album) wasn't going to debut at No. 1. I'm stoked to see us being successful again."
On Getting Away With Murder-
“I don't think we realized how far gone we were in people's eyes. We pretty much had to prove ourselves over again, from our fans to people in the music industry. It's been an uphill fight. Nobody handed anything to us on this record. It's been us just slugging it out in the trenches and playing shows and proving to people every day that this band is legit and we're not going away.â€
On The Paramour Sessions being a more mature album-
"I think this record definitely shows some growth as musicians and artists but we don't take ourselves too seriously, like "this is our more mature record". But it is always an evolution. If you want to call it mature, that's cool. But for me it is just rock and roll!"

DAVE BUCKNER
David John Lewis Buckner (born on May 29, 1976) is the drummer for the Alternative Rock band, Papa Roach.
Biography-
Born in Los Angeles, California, he reluctantly moved to the northern California town of Vacaville at the age of 14. There, he formed the band with fellow bored high school students, and equally driven aspiring musicians, Jacoby Shaddix, Ben Luther and Will James in January 1993. After entering the school talent show later that month covering Jimi Hendrix's classic Fire (without a guitarist). Though they did not win, they knew something had to be done. After ousting Luther in favor of a new guitarist, Jerry Horton, hours of practicing, and a seven track EP Potatoes for Christmas, Buckner left for Washington to attend the Art Institute of Seattle for a year. He soon returned to California as Papa Roach began to pick up momentum. The band recorded the 2 track sampler Caca Bonita, and with Buckner back on drums, they all knew they had made great improvements. Buckner and the rest of the band continued practicing, recording and touring heavily until 1999 when they were signed to Dreamworks Records. Papa Roach's major label debut: Infest was released in April of 2000, and went on to sell over 5 million copies worldwide. It became the launching point of Papa Roach's almost 10 year career, which continues strong today.
On October 25, 2003 he married celebrated model/actress, Mia Tyler, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler's second daughter. Notably, the wedding was held onstage, in front of a completely surprised, yet laudatory, audience attending a sold out Aerosmith concert at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. They filed for divorce in July of 2005. They had no children together.
