HAPPENSTANCE was one of CURVE Magazine's picks for best women's short films in 2007! And it has won two Best Female Short Film awards at film festivals in DC and LI.
HAPPENSTANCE, the latest short film by Emmy-award winning writer/director Joyce Draganosky, aired on HBO On Demand during June 2007. It was a winner of the first ever HBO LGBT short film competition called SHOUT. HBO also showed it in their partner film festivals - Miami, PTown and Outfest. Now, it is playing on LOGO (see above) and still at select film festivals to excellent reviews.
HAPPENSTANCE is a sizzling, sexy, six-minute movie. It's the story of a woman who discovers she has a lot in common with her son's new girlfriend.
Look - nothing more can be revealed about the plot because it IS only a six minute flick --- don't want to ruin the story --- but you can expect this: Beautiful women and titillating twists!
HAPPENSTANCE stars some of the best talent in the film and television business: Margaret Colin (Unfaithful, Independence Day, The Devil's Own, The Butcher's Wife), Jay O. Sanders (Half Nelson, Tumbleweeds) Eisa Davis (The Wire) and John Driscoll (The Guiding Light.)
