Emani’, born Erica McClain, in Memphis, TN, is one of hip hops most talented young artists. Emani was first discovered in 2003, when she was introduced to Young Turk formerly of the super group ‘The Hot Boys’ and CEO of YNT Music. Emani’s road to stardom did not come easy. In her lyrics she mixes her sexy image with hard struggles and brings a new definition to the female rapper. Though looks may tell otherwise, Emani’ has had her share of downs. Her songs tell of real situations and life changing experiences that she’s faced at her young age. Like her CEO and charge partner Turk, Emani is not an industry gangster making up hood tales to sell records.
