About Me

I grew up in Bristol and got into music mainly through having a musical family. Origionally playing piano my love for the electric bass grew stronger ...... and here I am! I'm sure you don't want the full history (!) but I will say that I was and still am obsessed with mountain biking also.........I moved from Bristol to study in Leeds and am now based near London. I work as a freelance bass player and have been fortunate to come accross some great musicians including those who I play/work with regularly. One event that springs to mind is doing a concert under the artistic direction of Nitin Sawhney in Bristol - an incredible musician.Origional Projects have included Mofunk in Bristol (toured Itally, played Glastonbury etc) and Thelonious which I joined in Leeds (highlite being Ronnie Scotts, unfortunately the band is no longer but can be heard above), and lots of stuff in between. At the moment I am involved in Ghost_Writers, Klezma Trip, Nu York State, Charanga Del Norte. - check them out. As well as my own music and freelance work. I'll do my best to keep things up to date. Cheers, J
