Hello all! I am Big Shawn's Jacket. I was left behind September 17, 2005. It was my first real relationship and I remember it all very clearly. I was put on carefully with a nice outfit that night. It seemed like it was going to be a wonderful evening. We were on our way to a wedding in Manhattan, KS and I was looking forward to a long night of dancing. The wedding was beautiful and went well and then we headed to the reception. I made it through dinner with no problems. The next thing I know I was dancing to some great music and it became very hot and stuffy. Sadly, I was then removed to remain the rest of a night on the back of a chair. I had some company, other jackets mostly, but nobody else was up for dancing, and as the night wore on I lost track of Big Shawn. I was discovered there on the chair the next morning by the bride's mother and I hitched a ride home with the bride to Overland Park, KS, as that was closer to my home in Lawrence. I have remained there since, and not had a lot of time to get out and about. I miss my home :( It's been hard, these past year and a half, but I think I'm finally ready to get back out there and start making some friends and possibly find the perfect person to wear me. I may find my way back to Big Shawn someday, if it's meant to be, but for now I'm going to take advantage of this opportunity and see the world.
