About Me
I'm halfway into a graduate degree at Concordia University in Montreal (though am spending the summer workin' in France and Toronto). Its in Media Studies... focusing on something cinematic and something queer but I don't really know how. I'm a little suspicious its just a vanity degree but I have no clue what I want to do afterwards so the stability is keeping me sane.I grew up in small town Ontario, which has made me feel well-informed on narrow-minds, crack addiction and unemployment. An effect of which is small-town culinary habits, which I'm attempting to expand - but being raised on Big Macs problematizes this. When I'm not attempting to be scholarly, I work for various (usually film related) places, currently indiewire.com & the Toronto International Film Festival
I'm afraid of serious illness, conflict and Steven Cojocaru, in that order. I'm deaf in one ear, thanks to a severe bout of the meningitis in 1988. I hate public transit, tuna and Hilary Swank. I love my mommy.
