Lukes music style ranges a huge amount. Originally he was into the house side of things, pulling out the big club bangers from artists such as Axwell, Tocadisco, Trentemoller, Armand Van Helden, Hook n Sling and the like. He later discovered labels like Ed Banger, Dim Mak, Mad Decent and Modular records. Now playing a lot more disco, fidget, electronica and indie style of music from artists such as SebastiAn, Boys Noize, Crookers, Late of the Pier and Van She. Luke has a passion for local music too and dashes of hip hop can be seen throughout his sets. Luke is very flexible with what he plays, but you can always tell his distingtive stlye.
After beginning DJing nearly 2 years ago, Luke has accomplished more than he would have ever expected, playing in nearly every respectable Auckland club (such as Cassette, Seba, Code, Be, Asta, Ink, Coherent, Coco Lounge, Space, Forte, Honey, Corner Bar, Birdcage, Empire Tavern and many large venues such as Studio, The Town Hall and Vector Arena) and recently winning the 2008 Superstar DJ competition, from approximately 50 entries across the country. Playing in the main room at Our House, one of the leading dance brands in New Zealand. And making his first performance at Deep Hard and Funky and Summadayze just recently. Not to mention appearances late in 2008 over the ditch in Sydney and mid 2009 headlining at Candys in Sydney. Alongside Steve Oxton and Mason Feehan, they have continued their monthly clubnight Explicit, which consistently packs out everytime becoming the leading Wednesday night party in Auckland.
Luke has opened for international acts Bloody Beetroots, Evil Nine, Don Diablo, Yuksek, Shadowdancer, Kill The Noise, Strip Steve and Djedjotronic.
And played on lineups of over 50 international acts, including MSTRKRFT, Tommie Sunshine, Mason, Ian Pooley, Miami Horror, Carl Cox, Sebastien Leger, Sharam and many more...
