I moved to Atlanta in the middle of 2007, alone, not knowing anyone in the city, not knowing much about the city, and definitely not knowing anyone in the Entertainment Industry. I got over my fear of being extremely shy and once I received my camera in January 2008, I went out and photographed. Of course, I still keep to myself, but I’m much more comfortable going out and photographing.I started Be True Photography in early 2008 because I wanted to showcase photography within the entertainment industry. On top of that, I’d figured that by the time someone else takes me under their wing, I could have already been an established brand. My first taste of the “industry” was Shawty Lo’s “Dunn Dunn” video shoot, and from there, it just snowballed. I love going behind the scenes and capturing the director’s vision through my perspective (Number one purpose of shooting behind the scenes stills. It pays to have a BFA in Film and Television). I also cover major events and well as I’m starting to get into photo shoots.I don’t see myself slowing down. I don’t want to slow down. To even come close to Johnny Nunez (Huge Hip-Hop event photographer from New York), I have to be out there, but I want to be greater, and I will be.I would absolutely love to work with you’se (Professionally!!!)
