Orion Psyence

About Me

Orion Psyence was formed in 2002 by Orion & Psyence at the home studio of DJ Sleepy in Omaha, NE. Early recordings were produced on a Dr. Rhythm and then on the Akai MPC 4000. The O.P. created 40-50 tracks of purely experimental Hip-Hop / Electro / Acid Jazz music. These beats are completely raw and many of the beats were simply ideas or experimentation in styles. Their most popular productions were never recorded and remain in the hard drive of the MPC which is somewhere in Arizona (they think). They have done production for DJ Sleepy, El Dopa, Beau Knows, Galvenize, El Ratone, and most recently Last Word. Future projects with other artists are currently in the works as well as the debut album from OP. Their beats have also been featured on STD-TV in Chicago and played on 89.7 The River here in Omaha. Be sure to check out the debut album from Last Word and peep them at many upcoming shows. Look for the new OP album to drop around the end of the year just in time for stocking stuffers (New Beats will be available soon on MySpace)! Stay tuned and don't sleep. B-E-Z...--
