I'm from San Francisco, California. They call me Duke Shiesty. I started rappin at like 13 just messin around . I didn't get on any official song until 1997 on the Innocent till Proven Guilty Tape Came out, that was Mr.Kee's group album. I've been on a variety of Compilations in the Bay Area. I take making music seriously. My objective is to make timeless music. I love all types of hip hop wherever its from. I respect it as an art form. I grew up in the Latino neighborhood called the Mission District in San Francisco. Theres alot of things that happen around these parts. I believe there is a shortage on good mc's especially for Latinos. Not just to rap in Spanish, but also to represent the lost generations that may not know how to speak in Spanish, they still exist and go through alot of the same things. My bio is not gonna be about my reputation on the street or my jail record or anything like that. Its more about a vision, a mission you know? I would like to open up some doors for Latin Mc's not just in the east or ones gettin co-signed by just bein battle rappers. Don't get me wrong, there are just alot more of us out here that can contribute. I think more collaborations should be done, thats what its supposed to be about. It aint about me, its about the music and where the people with money want it go. All the people that do this from the heart know this still not enough, you could have all the talent in the world , look at how many people say they can rap . Its ridiculous, its like American Idol with out the t.v show! LOL! Nah I'm bein sarcastic. Rappers nowadays alot of them got more personality than there music does or they sound like some one else. Even their wardrobe is better than the way they spit. Originality is a must for me, I love hip hop and everything else is under that umbrella , west ,east, south , north. Some one always wants to label it . It is what it is . Its all about money not one producer wants to help mold or even risk, gamble on anything like that ,that may even possibly be great for the culture itself .Not anymore. Nowadays everyones fixated on image. The music is hard work when you do have goals and visions, not just to make a quick dollar. Who really cares about a bio when your not even known, your music has to make them want to know you. Its always begins with the music and ends with the music.
