So. guess what. After a whopping 10 (almost 11) years together, my boyfriend and I decided this whole "boyfriend/girlfriend" thing is getting old. So we're breaking up. KIDDING! We're getting married! Yes, we are "eloping" (and by eloping, I mean going away to get married on an island in the Caribbean and not bringing anyone with us, though it's not a secret and it's not under cover of night or anything so maybe that doesn't qualify as "eloping" but the term "weddingmoon" sounds silly to me.) Anyway, point is: date is set, tickets are bought, hotel is reserved, and a nice lady named Taddy is organizing our little 3 person ceremony on a beach in paradise (my idea of a dream wedding). How. Wonderful.
So I guess that's not really "about me," except in so far as one can gather quite a bit of information "about me" from the paragraph above. For example, and in no particular order:
--I like using quotation marks
--I've been with my boyfriend for a hell of a long time for my tender age (shut up--i can still claim to be at a "tender age." 30 is the new 20)
--I am not a traditionalist in relationships, nor in weddings.
--I babble. I mean, it takes me FOREVER to make my point, and I digress a lot. Those of you who know me know that's probobly one of my most fundamental and enduring traits. And one of the most annoying.
So, there we go. I hate writing about me, but am excited enough about my big upcoming trip to yammer about it for a while, thus giving those of my friends who are bitching that I wrote too little in my profile something to shut up about. you know who you are.
