About Me

Hi! My name's Tim.

I've played Drums since I was 10 years old. I live in SW London and currently Teach and Gig with various Bands in and out of London.

I also Gig in France with an Artist called Murray Head which is very song based and very varied in styles, it's a nice gig.
I started in rock n'Roll at about age 17. I was House Drummer at Red Bus Studios in NW 8, it was there I got to meet Swain and Jolley who were up and coming producers, through them I played with: Imagination, Kevin Kitchen and got to play on the Alison Moyet Album Alf, which was pretty cool...
I also met Yellowstone and Voice, two producers, and played on some Kelly Marie Hits. I also met Colin Thurston, Duran Duran Producer, I did a few things with him, also Geoff Calver, which led to a Mezzoforte track I did, another cool experience.

I then came across Bass Player Ian Maidman, which led to a stint with Guitarist/Writer Loz Netto. Ian then recommended me to Joan Armatrading, who I then recorded with. I also did several tours later on.
I also had stints with Bananarama, Ian Paige, toured with B Movie in the States. Had a good stint with Paul Brady, then Tanita Tikaram, followed by a tour with Nik Kershaw, then another stint with Joan Armatrading, a tour with Peter Andre, various gigs and recordings and my involvement with old Friends Go West.

Nowadays I'll play anything melodic and I'm up for pretty much everything, so feel free to get in touch...
I love everything from Led Zep to James Taylor...
Thanks, Tim.

Influences: My earliest musical influences were Slade, Don Powel, Mud, Dave Mount, Sweet, Mick Tucker and then I discovered Keith Moon, who I loved, then Ian Paice and then Phil Collins, who was a big influence. Then at 16, I heard Gino Vannelli's Brother to Brother which blew my mind and still does, some of the most unique innovative Drumming ever, by Mark Craney.
It was Mark Craney and that Album which got me into Steve Gadd, Jeff Porcaro, Jim Keltner, John Robinson... Theni heard Nightwalker by Gino, with Vinnie Colaiuta on, wich was another Mind Blowing experience! I also got into an English drummer called Tony Beard, who was a big influence. These Days, I love Steve Jordan, Manu Katche, Steve Gadd, the late Great Carlos Vega, an exceptional Player, and most of the Drummers you see nowadays, they're ALL good!!
Cheers, Tim.
