About Me

Hi,I’m Rich Robinson - This is my page to promote myself and my services otherwise known as: RMS recordings. ;)
I have recently made the move to London where I am actively and very happily working for as a freelance audio engineer.
Since making the move to the big smoke I have been working with Aderra as a live recording engineer. This work has taken me across Europe with Sonisphere Festival, with talks of work in the US in the pipeline.
I have been very kindly welcomed amongst the Bedford music team as a live engineer. The bedford is an absolute gem of a venue, which provides quality live music every week - free of charge. You can often find me hanging around by the console there or at any of the other affiliated venues such as The regal Room or Smithfields.
I am now a recording engineer at Abbot Street Studios in Dalston.
I have my own mobile Pro Tools system with 14 mic inputs and with the ability to offer 6 discrete headphone mixes. This is a very flexible little system and is not to be overlooked. I have lots of audio gear which I won't detail here (see below for a more detailed list of equipment).
Full recording sessions can be arranged in just about any location. I am still in search of a suitable space that can be used to track full bands in the city - for those folks who care not for the stale studio environment!
For any bands looking for a dedicated live engineer, I offer competitive rates and I am willing negotiate a reasonable fee for my services.
I have plenty of experience both live & in the studio and strive to provide the best results as creative and ever-evolving engineer.

News:
The Brux EP is complete.
Due to unforeseen circumstances within the Neosphere camp, the sessions recorded at the Hut may never be finsihed nor see the light of day. We all hope that Owen makes a quick recovery after a nasty car crash in late '08. The good news is that the band are planning some support dates in the Plymouth area this Autumn. :)
The Youth Gone Wrong album is available for free download as either MP3s or WAV files. Drop me an email if you would like the links. The album is as any hardcore punk album should be. Loud, Raw and a lot of fun to listen to. (Not bad for a days recording, in a Plymouth bar, on a gray autumn day!)
To Come:
I am currently in the process of arranging some studio time with a London based act, which will be a refreshing departure from the more aggressive styled stuff I've recorded to date.
Will keep you posted as I know more.
Rich
