Yes that is what you think it is!

About Me

Hum. Me. I suppose the page you are looking at pretty much sums up me pretty well. I try to surround myself with things that I love and things that make me smile and laugh. I love to learn, I don't think that one can ever learn enough or try to understand too many situations. I am still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up. I am interested in far too many things to narrow it down to one particular thing. I love to be challenged, but strive to live my life in simplicity. I am not entirely sure that I won't run off to a rural area of China to be a rice farmer one day. It would be a great opportunity to learn Chinese and I have always wanted to be bilingual!Things I love : hello kitty, apples, dandelions, the sun, photos.Things I hate : sausage, people that drive the speed limit in the fast lane, fish and especially sharks, cold rain.

Hum interests. Quite a few. Of course I love Hello Kitty and Hello Kitty type things. The environment, legal system, learning, watching tv, tooling around on the internet, eating. I like eating a lot. Being outside and with trees and nature are of huge interest to me. I love books, just having them around makes me feel better. I wish to have a gigantic library one day filled with hundreds of books!

I'd like to meet:

There are so many people that I would love to met. I would love to be in a room with Albert Einstein. Just to be next to such an amazing thinker would be incredible. da Vinci, a fantastic inventor and visonary, I'd like to hear his thoughts about today's technology and science. My favorite philosopher, Plato. I must know which thoughts were his. And, my top pick, if I had to pick one, Katharine Hepburn, some one who never made any apolgies for always being and was never afraid to be, herself.

Music:

I wish I could say I like a lot of types of music, but I mostly stick to rock-ish type of sounds. I love Pearl Jam, Live, Dave Matthews, Alice in Chains (old school to me!) Huge fan of Weezer, The Killers, Muse, Shinedown, My Chemical Romance, Evanescence and things more recent along those lines. And of course, almost any 80s power ballad.

Movies:

Love Mall Rats, Clerks, Dogma, Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs, Kill Bill(s), pretty much anything by those two I will at least give a chance. I hate girly movies. I can count on one hand how many 'romantic comedies' I have seen. I love The Breakfast Club, constant classic. Oh, and I do love classic movies. By classic I mean no color and made in the 30s-40s. No scary movies, I can't handle those, they scare the crap out of me! I can't help it, I am a jumpy person.

Television:

"Edutainment", History CHannel, National Geographic and the like. Love Adult Swim, pretty much anything on there, but with honorable mention to squidbillies. Maybe it's because I am from Georgia and have lived it...but it is some of the funniest stuff I have ever seen. Love Inuyasha. Girly, yes and in true anime form, stupid 'ending', if you can call it an ending, i mean seriously what the hell... but I love it. Gilty pleasure would be Flavor of Love.

Books:

I am really dorky when it comes to reading and literature. My favorite story and play is Hamlet. (Love the movie too, the Branagh version, although Gibson does have it's merrits too.) Most of the books I love come from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. I love old movies and even older books! Story doesn't matter to me nearly as much as great characters. Pride and Prejudice, Medea, The Republic (most things by Plato/ Socrates) and things along this line. If you had read it in British lit or college, I probably like it. I wish I was making this up, but I am actually thinking about getting my PhD in comparative lit!

Heroes:

Just to be like the rest, my mom of course! A single mom that had two jobs and still put herself through school! I have a great afinity towards Katharine Hepburn. A strong, unapologetic and always unique woman. Actually, most of the people that I would like to meet would all be my heros, daVinci, Plato. Those types. Pretty much anyone who has beliefs and passions and aren't afraid to stand up for those things.
