Some people are born gifted singers...I wasn't one of them. I started singing as a hobby and then I took it seriously after starting few lessons. As I developed my voice I also developed some bad habits as a consequence of bad technique. I had a degree Popular Music Performance, attended Berklee College of music, have been to numerous workshops, Master classes, etc...all different styles of teaching and technique. I've always been persistent so I practiced as much as I could everything I learned. Consequently, I developed a super range and strength!, envious? Don't be! I had a gap in the middle of my voice. Few notes that I couldn't use in my singing. I had to yell to reach them, or flip into falsetto. I was always straining and very unconfident, most of the time out of tune, was terribly tired after each gig and the list goes on!!! (This Sound familiar?) Unhappy with the results then I kept wishing there was another way. Then one day I found Speech Level Singing(SLS) and everything chaged since. Now my range is even larger (Over three and a half octaves, WITHOUT a gap in the middle!!) and more powerful. I have dynamic control over what I sing( I can access any note in my range soft or loud without using falsetto if I don't want to). I learned SLS first as a singer and then trained to teach it. I was honoured to be certified by Seth Riggs to teach his technique and become the only mexican with this qualification.SLS and my experience are the BEST tools I have to help singers to get their very best of their voice and consequently their performance. SLS can be applied to any style Rock/Pop ,R n' B, Gospel, Opera, etc. For more info about me, SLS, Seth Riggs or vocal tecnique you can read the blogs on this profile. Alternatively you can visit:
