About Me
Kalkinodo (kahl-kee-no-doe), which means "The Way of Proper Movement," is a
new, radical approach to martial arts training which optimizes training time, avoids
the red herrings found in more traditional systems, and eliminates methods and
techniques which teach bad habits that later need to be unlearned. The Way of
Proper Movement is not just another system or style, it is a whole new approach to
martial arts training. It is an efficient method of training which molds the art
around each individual student's abilities and weaknesses, streamlines the training
by focusing on street effectiveness, while constantly asking the simple
question, "does it work?" Unlike a martial arts stylist (for example, students in
Judo, Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, or Kung Fu), one cannot identify USMA students by
any particular technique groups, or specific responses they use. Each USMA
student may "look" like they trained in a different system.
