When the soul feels connection with a dark electric current, this is the Force Effect, that indescribable waking dream of any possible future, that sound wave pre-cognition of any possible tomorrow.
Force Effect took hold with Xander Davis as early as 2000, when he began programming his own electronic music in an Ohio basement as a teenager. This collection of unreleased original material was simply practice for greater things to come.
By 2007, Xander had moved to Indiana to work at a pro-audio dealer. Six months of constant work became The Violent Truth - EP, the artist's six track debut release, featuring a primary mix and five alternate mixes.
Come 2008, and Xander experimented with remixing Nine Inch Nails' Survivalism, turning it from a punk rock tune into an electro cry of desperation in a troubling political climate for the country.
Which lead directly into the big beat electro wrecking ball Kill the TV - EP, first debuting during secret late night live performances in gritty mid-western bars and later mastered at a world class recording studio.
Now is 2009 and a new outlook, a new promise for the future. Force Effect has moved from the midwest to Southern California, smack in between LA and San Diego.
Recording sessions are underway in Archstone and soon Cardiff with a grand ocean view of the Pacific. New material is on the way, with new involvement by fans. Records will be released for free and under a Creative Commons license, and covers will be designed by the best graphic designers worldwide.
The future is forthcoming. Standby for transmission, this feeling, this Force Effect.
