HONESTY REALLY IS THE BEST POLICY.
People,myself included, often feel compelled to give elaborate explanations or excuses when they don't want to do something. I greatly admire a couple of my friends for their ability to just say no when they don't want to do something. Not only does being honest indicate that you value openness, it makes your word much more meaningful and reliable to others.
It can catch people a little off guard when someone is entirely direct and honest with their feelings, but this is how we should all strive to live. You should have enough faith in those closest to you to know that if you decline their requests once in a while, the relationship won't disintegrate. If it does, it's time to find a new support circle.
Never be afraid to say no. I personally cannot stand it when someone agrees to do something with me, whether it's going shopping or driving me to the airport, if that isn't what he or she really wants to do.
Don't compromise yourself.I much prefer people to be straightforward and tell me if they don't have time or aren't interested. Being direct and up front about your needs and wants helps you connect more deeply with who you are as a person. If you're constantly doing things for others, it may lead to confusion between who you are and who people want you to be. This confusion ultimately leads to unsatisfying, and even emotionally damaging relationships.
I desire to please others and to help people, but i know its important not to neglect myself. The best thing you can do to improve the lives of others, is to be true to yourself and have faith that your loved ones will not just understand, but will respect you for doing so.
I like hanging out with friends,going to parties,clubbing,dancing,meeting new people,and sharing thoughts with others.I also feel comfortable discussing my thoughts and opinions with others. Different experiences and opinions make the world more interesting.
