I go by the name of Trixie, it was one of my nicknames from my secondary school days from being one of the most skillfull football players in the school. I was influenced with getting involved with the physical side of music through football. I say that because in my youth days, I used to play in the same team as Akira, a mc who was signed to the So Solid Crew. Me and Akira also trained at the same place as So Solid’s Harvey and Swiss. Listening to them on Delight fm inspired me to buy records.
By late 2000 my collection was building up of So Solid and other garage beats in the scene. I decided it was time for me to buy a pair of Technic 1210 turntables.
In 2001 I was filling in on special guest slots on Horror fm, I never got a perminate set on there. My musical highlight so far occured in the summer of 2002, where i was a special guest dj on the show of CK Flash on Choice 107.1.
In 2003 I secured a perminate set on Laylow fm. As a up and coming dj i took it as a chance to get reconised in a area that im not based. From time to time I would bring a different mc to chat alongside Breaker, such as Fugi, Infared Sound, Fatz and Crimer of the High Grade Clan, Vortex, Frisk 4.5, Younger S.L.K, Pestman of Clashing Kings, Young One of N Double A, plus others out of West and North-west London.
In January 2006 I filled in for the dj Jawzy on Axe.co.uk alongside Stormin and Nasty Jack of N.A.S.T.Y and up and coming mc’s from South London. Later in the year Breaker linked up with Cotti of Bass Face Records, Cotti presented Breaks to his folder of instrumentals. Breaker instanty selected a track that caught his ear called Fire Cat. From the very first time that I heard the track I said to Breaks that the track has potential to blow in the scene, so Breaker come up with the chorus I Run Here. The track has a video to it that I co-directed. I’ve also been working on putting together a album with Breaker. I’m featuring on a track called Beef, Beef also has a video to look out for.
Closing I’m sending a special thanks to everyone that has supported me through the years. The full Laylow fm management team, Danny C of Aim Recordes, Mastermind Productionz and a massive big up to my family, respect.
