AMOKACHI started out of the ashes of previous bands Fervent Hike and Pillowcase (that's johnass, michael and matt) and we came across the brother of matt and michael who had some great straight ahead vocal and (!!) performing skills (he used to be in red horse tree) and dumbass who we knew already for a (too) long time and who happened to play bass.You can call the music what you want, We call it: sweaty, oldskool - punkcore. We think straight ahead, so when you read or hear our lyrics you know what AMOKACHI stands for. Some songs are serious, others are just bullsh..t and fun.
We have a critical view on the media, lies taught on public schools, trash, poison words or propaganda showed on the TV-box, on the walls or in magazines, lying politicians, one world government, pollution and slow destruction of mother earth, games that keep the kids 3-4 hours/day in front of the screen .. these things we fight .. in our hearts and through our songs we pray and hope that these walls may fall and disappear ..
We preach healthy and heavenly unity, faith, hope, respect, true peace, true love, true faithfulness, true happiness, true kindness, tenderness, self control and the strong weapon of forgiveness .. but also drinks that are disappearing, Superglue, Frisbee fun, thrift, ultra bass-sound, beauty of nature made by intelligent design and how we think about the past days and the days to come from now to eternity, are subjects in our songs so remember, we have an important message to bring, and It's fun to the bone.
When you see a poster or flyer of AMOKACHI coming to your town, and you have a punk - oldskool - attitude, start to train the muscles cause it can go very hard, dancing, shaking, running, diving, jumping, shouting, sing along, scream out whatever you..re standing for, just have fun, put the others on a run, move the toes, the arms, the head, open the ears and the eyes, open the mouth, show your teeth and tongue, let the people see your best and most stupid, hilarious smile (but don..t scare the others, the more people, the more fun, the more joy and the more ecstasy), see you folks, over there, on the kids.. playground, where knuckles and muscles bounce, where feet dance of joy, where knees bend, where emotion really hurts and where sharing sweat brings unity, not in front of the audience but among the audience, have the guts to face this challenge, together with us, the AMOKACHI family !!!!!!
