About Me

LABEL OVERVIEW:Devastation Records was formed in 2004 as an independent label based in Cleveland, OH or “Tha CLE” as many call it. The main mission of Devastation Records is to provide the listening audience with pristine rap music from some of the most talented and controversial artists in the game. This record label prides itself on an “All for one, One for all” mentality and only does business with professional, open minded people. If you haven't listened to music from Devastation Records before, we urge you to spin a cut and realize that we are poised to lead the new era of the hip hop industry!4SIGHT BIO:4Sight introduced himself to rap music at the tender age of 13 when he got his hands on the album, NWA: Strait Outta Compton. From the instant he heard the first 3 records he knew that he wanted to rap and create beats like the infamous DJ Yella and Dr. Dre. Once North made it to high school, he and a few friends formed the rap group K.E.D. (Keepin' Em Dope) and he rapped under the name “The Magician” after a childhood idol of his, Lance Burton, an internationally known magician. 4Sight: “ It was a cool thing back in the day cause we would throw on our Keds tennis shoes and fresh fly gear and make tapes, we even rapped at a couple parties so at the time it was all love.” K.E.D. Had 4 members but after graduation, the group disbanded. However, 4Sight remained diligent, writing raps and creating simple 4 track beats to go along with them. He hooked up with a local producer by the name of Wil Champ from Apex Entertainment and, together, they cut an extremely professional demo with the stand out song, 'Animal Instinct'. North kept his skills sharp, entering talent shows and contacting major labels but, in 2000, was incarcerated for 2 years. After his release in 2002, 4Sight deliberated ending his musical career but kept going after the birth of his first son. 4Sight: “ I looked in the eyes of my boy and said to myself that I could never quit on him through any aspect of my life, including rap music.” In 2004, after careful planning, 4Sight was signed to Devastation Records and has completed 3 albums to date. His style is eerily reminiscent of 2Pac and he embraces this as not a flaw but an undeniable artistic talent. 4Sight:”When people say I sound like 2Pac, I take it as a motivational thing. I think some people are pathetic when they try to take bits and pieces of tragic moments of his life to judge my own but if you look at Lebron James, who molded his style of play after Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson, nobody around here complainin'. I'm carving my own lane.” With 2009 here, 4Sight is working on his 4th album, 'Block Power', for any prospective major labels.
