Christian Jaimes –Vocales y guitarras
Gonzalo Rojas – Guitarras
David Castro – Bajo
Andrés Quintero – BaterÃa

For March of 2006, the story of this band begins, Betrayer were formed and its name was “Féretroâ€(Coffin) . The original line-up consisted of David Castro(bass), Gonzalo Rojas (lead Guitar), Christian Jaimes (Rhythm Guitar) and David Galindo (Growls); during that time there was not a drummer, and David Castro took that place, while waiting a new drummer to be found. After a few months playing only covers (although there were some lyrics and riffs written) , in the middle of that year, David C. decides to go out of the band. Meanwhile, there were integrated two people, one for the bass and another one for the drums, but they did not last more than one day. Three months after, the band re-organizes with its first line-up, but this time David C. plays the bass, then they recruitt a new drummer, with more ear and better movements, but a little after, due to his lack of compromise, the band had to dispense that guy. For january of 2007, the band meets Andrés Quintero, a drummer who is inmediatly attached to the sounds that the band was searching for that moment, then a new age for the band was coming, after that the name was changed because one similar already existed in the city, now the new name for the band at that time was “Imperio de Guerraâ€(War Empire) , shortly after comes the decision to dismiss David Galindo, but in good terms, and not forgetting he was important for the band such as the things he aported, so Christian takes the growls and keeps playing guitar, after this moving, the own songs begin to be assembled, talking about topics like the hate to the church, and existencialist ideas with a good touch of Thrash-Death. The name was to be changed again, now the band’s name would be “Mercenaryâ€, but it did not last too much due to the same problem that the first name. So here comes the name “Betrayerâ€, which is the name that the band is known with. Along the band time life, there have been excellent concerts, with bands like Vertebral, Egaheitor, Perpetual Warfare, Apriori Death, Evil Terror, Cobra and many others; being heard for a public expectant of fast and heavy music. For us is pleasing to say that we have received a good support not only from the brother bands, but also from the growing up scene, fact that makes we wish to keep this way both musically and ideologically, giving conscience of the violence we live in, the fight for the power, trying to light the flame of rebellion that is found inside us.
The current line-up is:
Christian Jaimes – Growls and guitar
Gonzalo Rojas- Lead Guitar
David Castro- Bass
Andrés Quintero- Drums
