Welcome to my page: I am a record producer in my own studio and a live audio-engineer.
I did the live sound for several festivals in Germany, such as the Keep it True, Rockmania, Way of Darkness and Thrash Assault
Just to mention some of the bands, I was mixing:
Sodom, Graveworm, Sinister, Onslaught, Postmortem, Evocation, Manos, Sadus, Sacred Steel, Heathen... and a lot more
I did FOH assistance for Bands like: Amon Amarth, Kataklysm, Morbid Angel, Legion of the Damned, Hail of Bullets, Gorefest, Nazareth, Rage, Tito & Tarantula and a fucking lot more.
I am one of the techs in Würzburgs famous concert hall: the Posthalle. With a capacity of 3000 people its the biggest club in Würzburg. They rely on my ears and my sound and they know why!
The studio - SG Records - consists of a ProTools TDM system with 18 DSPs powering all plugins and a Tascam M2600mkII 24-channel analog inline mixing desk for fat analog mixdowns. For those which have no imagination about the quality of my gear: Andy Classen uses nearly the same setup.
I can record a whole band simultaneously and I have some nice microphone preamplifiers for sound-shaping: a 2 channel hand-wired Reussenzehn tube-preamp with a transformer for nice harmonics and a very versatile 2 channel Art DMPA tube preamp with 75dB of gain and variable impedance (changes the sound from vintage to modern)!
I am using Tannoy Precision 8D active monitors for mixing.
The recording room is seperated from the mixing room and also my Mac is abandoned from the mixing room for quiet working. Guitars and basses can be recorded from the mixing room for fastest workflow and to avoid ear-tiring loud headphone mixes in front of the amplifier.
My collection of microphones counts 2 pairs of factory matched (!) Oktava large diaphragm (MK102) and small diaphragm (MK012) condenser microphones, a middle diaphragm Oktava (MK011), a LD Systems large diaphragm tube condeser, 2 Audix D6 (BD), 2 Audix D4 (Low Toms), 2 Audix D2 (High Toms), 1 Audix i5 (Snare), a Sennheiser E606, a self built subkick and several dynamic and condenser mics.
For mastering, I am using the iZotope Ozone 3 Mastering Suite.
I am charging 12,50 Euros per hour and I think that is really fair. I also have special deals for new bands and demo recordings, so just ask!
