Born in Great Bend KS, 1973, while living in Claflin KS. Lived in Coldwater KS for a few years, but finished "growing up" in Stafford KS; 1991 graduate! Married to James since September of 2004, mom to one son & two daughters, step-mom to a son & daughter and grandma to Kaid Jacob, born 3-19-08. My life basically revolves around my family, though I am blessed to have the support of my family to have my own life too. Singing with SECOND NATURE is the coolest thing for me and my kids think I'm the coolest mom for it! But, I try to have the balance of both "lives" to keep my ego in check. It could be soooooo easy to have a huge ego being in this awesome band, but I have to stay humble knowing we wouldn't be this awesome band if it weren't for our AWESOME FANS!!! I've been singing since I can remember. Probably my earliest memory of loving to sing would be watching the movie "Grease" as a very young girl. I wanted to be Olivia Newton-John when I grew up. I was big into singing in school and college and thought I found my calling when Vic's started doing Karaoke every weekend. I took the chance and tried out for a singing contest in 2002's Wichita Idol. I didn't win, but I made it to the finals, where I met the singer from "Kickstart", Stephanie Hugg. She invited me to sing for her band a few gigs the summer of 2003 where I was seen by the band "Balance". I became the lead singer for "Balance" in late 2003. Needing a new guitarist for Balance introduced me to Bruce. We forged an awesome friendship clear through the demise of Balance in 2005. That eventually led me to "Second Nature" and I dragged Bruce with me. Now we're rockin' out with Dee, Rusty & Carlos pretty much every weekend, where we belong. But, like I said before, we wouldn't be able to do this without the support of our spouses, James & Stacy. On my "off" time, James & I keep busy working on our OLD house. We look forward to Dirk bringing the new baby over for some family bonding! Calloway, Camaro, Tristen & Vanessa keep us busy with this, that and everything else, but we cherish all of it.
