Band Members: Just me- would like to collaborate again-seems to work for me. Still wondering what my genre is...BRUCE thought it was AMERICANA. Did you hear the WHOLE song, "HOLD ON HARDER" ? -it gets better (I think) mid-way. Lesson learned: gotta grab the listener at the beginning. Have sung other people's music in the studio and was in a band at 19 with actor Billy Zane's sis Lisa-cool chick! Maybe I'll get in a band again...Recently, I wrote the words & music on a ring back for SMAKTONES.COM who did the musical arrangement- it's called "Business Or Pleasure", written for & sung by BILLY TRUDELL, (formerly on tour w/ Elton John & voice coach for Amer. Idol's Ace Young). Still finding my style & writing a'cappella. Love a wide variety of sounds. I've written poems since in my teens & started up again 6/07-the difference now, is that I hear music when I write. I am mostly a singer (although I consider my song more of an acting/writing piece) & I am studying song-writing. My first song, "HOLD ON HARDER", is my first attempt at writing melody. I was under a deadline to get it to a friend who needed a song for a movie he was editing...I think this is where I see my music going-within the visual arts. I sang it (over the phone in my car), to BRUCE WATSON who is one of L.A.'s most sought after guitarists having played live or in the studio w/ JEWEL, SARA BAREILLES, CHRISTINA AGUILERA, SUGARLAND, STEWART COPELAND (POLICE)... & he said since the song was pretty much finished, he could help me record/collaborate in his studio!!! (I am a fortunate girl:D) A few hours later, I'm walkin' out CD in hand, although rough & raw! Lyrics & music by Karman Jeanne, music (guitar, pedal steel) & back-up vocals, by BRUCE WATSON. On "THE MAGIC'S THERE", I'm singing a duet for DON SCRIBNER's album. I actually make my living photographing actors, musicians & families & as an actor (in commercials for the most part) & so always approach music from an actor's P.O.V. searching for the truth & humanity.
