Devourer was formed in 2002. The first demo, called "Malignant", was released in 2003. Devourer was then inactive until May 2007 when Steinfaust started recording new material. During the autumn of 2007 Crocell joined Devourer. In early 2008 the second demo, called "Thy Devourer", was completed. In April 2009 "Inferis Monumentum" and "The Crystal Mirrors" were recorded and released.
