OSAKE surge en Madrid en mayo de 2006 como una continuación al proyecto Ora Pro Nobis, en el que Juan (guitarra y voz), Ignacio (bajo y coros) y Luis (batería) estaban inmersos hace varios años.La búsqueda de una segunda guitarra que diese mayor contundencia y variedad a los temas, así como la cobertura de los solos, les hizo encontrarse con 13. Con esta nueva formación, empiezan la preparación de nuevas canciones. 13 es un apasionado de Steve Vai y su vital influencia en la composición, se traduce en una mayor agresividad y complejidad de los temas. Por fin parece que el grupo ha encontrado la pieza que faltaba y empiezan a gestar un estilo sensiblemente diferente a lo que Ora Pro Nobis había hecho hasta ahora. Por ello, deciden cambiar de nombre, llamándose a partir de ahora OSAKE (licor de arroz).A finales del 2006, se entablan contactos con Anne Paranoid de I..m Geek Records, con idea de grabar la primera demo ya bajo el nuevo nombre. Los temas incluidos en la misma son: “Box full of pain”, “Guilty”, “The end that will be”, “Legato”, “War of Gods” y “Words to the wind”. En abril de 2007 completan la grabación de la demo, titulada finalmente “My own reality”.Con esta formación, actuaron en el 2007 y principios del 2008 en salas tan emblemáticas como Live!, Taboo, Gruta 77, etc. junto a grupos como Time Symmetry, Perfect Smile, Abú Simbel, Factor 19, El Caballo del Malo, Unscarred Bleeding... También han concursado dos veces en el Auditorio de Hortaleza, quedando subcampeones en el 2007 y compitiendo con grupos de la talla de Cottolengo, Señora Flora, La Caja Negra, Delito y Medio y Beat Vitamine.En mayo de 2008, 13 por diversos motivos decide dejar el grupo, sustituyendole en julio del mismo año Gabriel como guitarrista solista. Por desgracia, en febrero de 2009 Gabriel planea irse a trabajar a Londres por lo que su puesto queda de nuevo vacante y es cubierto finalmente por Jon. A finales de marzo de 2009 Jon tiene que volver a su tierra (Canarias) y es sustituido por Iván.Actualmente la banda está terminando la composición de los nuevos temas que conformarán su próxima maqueta.
