About Me
B. RAWSTEIN
“A legend in the makingâ€
The new era of the hip-hop world is all about the pride, the culture, and the experience of the South. Atlanta has become one of the most fruitful breeding grounds for producing crops of prolific rappers. Adding his chameleon-like style to the rap game is the Atlanta born and bred MC, B. Rawstein. Through hard work and grinding in the streets, the Adamsville native is finally getting his chance to shine. Poised as Atlanta’s next big hip-hop star, B. Raw is set to break topsoil and emerge fully-grown into hip-hop cultures mainstream.
B. Rawstein aka Byron Gearing, was a very “busy childâ€, as he puts it. He had his fair share of trouble arranging from fighting in school, to later being kicked out of high school. He’s also been arrested, resulting in a stint of jail time. On the reverse side, however, B. Rawstein is extremely passionate, and determined to make a better life for himself, his family, and his “folkâ€. “Other rappers got fat while the streets starved, I’m hungry, it’s my turnâ€. His commitment to the hip-hop culture is unwaivered, naming influences like Rawkim, Run DMC, Biggie, Tupac, and Jay-Z to name a few.
B. Raw was introduced to the rap game by best friend Chris Terry, who also rapped along with one of the most successful 90’s hip-hop group Kriss Kross. In 1999 Terry, God rest his soul, was murdered in front of B. Raw's home. After the passing of Terry, B. Raw knew that he had to get serious about his life because that was not how he wanted to end up. He further developed his craft and passion and used the traumatic experiences of the street-life to propel himself into other advantageous opportunities.
B. Raw later caught up with Kriss of Kriss Kross in 2002, with a personal goal to keep the “Great Terry†dream alive. He then began learning how to formulate beats and construct melodies, and through diligent work and effort led to the smash hit “porno star†featuring Bianca Star.
B. Raw’s celebrity is already on the rise. He has everybody in the clubs and the streets chanting, “Porno Starâ€, off of his upcoming debut album Sex, Drugs, and Cash. Vol. 1. B. Raw is insistent on making it clear that he is not a porno star nor does he advocate sex, drugs, and cash, “When you are from the streets you see a lot of sex, drugs, and cash. It’s a universal term and whether you like it or not will exist forever. I just want people to understand it from my point of viewâ€. B. Raw relies firmly on his first hand experiences with love, and street-life to make his points clear.
B. Raw’s distinct voice, impeccable style, and remarkable ability to morph and shape his flow has won him respect among hip-hop fans and the streets of the “Aâ€. It is through his unwavering will and energetic presence that B. Raw will step into a promising music career that is ordained to bring him fame, fortune, and respect in the streets all over the world and throughout the music industry.
