The Custom Kitchens

About Me

***New Song, Kitchen lovers!! Give it some time to load, it's worth it*** The Custom Kitchens are your new favorite band. Three girls, three guys, all singers, all songwriters, one inter-band relationship and counting, six part harmonies that you haven't heard in thirty years- this is full on 70s pop rock hearts-out freak out.Formed in Feb. 07 by lead singer/songwriter Emily Hickey (from the San Francisco scene and bands such as Boyfriend, Emily Hickey Band, Sporty James) and a gospel-loving group of monster singers and songwriters from the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at Tisch/NYU. Creighton Irons crushes the piano and brings his relentlessly positive southern soul power to the mix, while drummer Niko Tsakalakos (of LA/Sunset Strip band SAINT FRIDAY) and bassist Sean Mahoney (multi-instrumentalist/producer/DJ, also from SF) hold down the bottom and write textbook hits for the Kitchens in addition to scoring indie films as a songwriting team. Rounding out the crew are the lovely, lusty, mysterious Kitchenettes: NH-raised playwright and red-headed kitten-ette lyricist Jess Digiacinto and superstar overeducated, sexy-and-smiles soul singer Jill Beirne.Like their main influence The Band, everyone sings lead and backup. The Custom Kitchens are 6 hearts on the floor and are determined to win over even the most jaded brklyn, LES indie fan f'r. They play a diverse range of acoustic and electric roots and pop originals, and aren't afraid to knock out a set of no-fuss, pure fun covers if the bar lets them overstay their welcome.Book The Custom Kitchens and you will have as much fun as they do.
