About Me

This is a group that splintered from Goodman County.
This is a group that will try anything twice.
This is a group that likes wine.
This is a group that laughs at death.
This is your kind of group.
Salvo, the first official release by The Passing Parade, started as a simple catch all of extra songs by the two main songwriters for Goodman County. After recording for a full day in a Baton Rouge kitchen with help from Justin Hilburn (of the Way High Men) the band left with 18 songs of just voice and guitar. The rest of the record was put together over a course of evenings in Tony Abercrombie's bedroom in the 721 building in Jackson' downtown area.
There were two rules:
1.Every instrument that they used had to be played by only one of them. No outside musicians.
2.Try everything.
Layered in floor creaks and old building ambience, Salvo was made with the idea that honesty can be heard in a recording. The Passing Parade are not afraid. They just are.
