Most will probably not read this. If you do, I would love to get some comments just showing you aren't a myspace douche. Most of this I could just have put in a blog, but you wouldn't read it then, thus not truly getting to know me.
My name is Calvin. I prefer Calvee. I was born in Champaign, Illinois. I lived in Newton, Illinois up until I was about 5. Now I live in Las Vegas, but in the end it's not where you're from that makes you. It's just an influence.
I have lived a decent life. Not poor, not rich, but still spoiled growing up. I have seen somethings people wouldn't get and I have been a few too, To list a few:
The cheated and the cheater
The heartbroken and the heartbreaker
The lover/loved and the hater/hated
The addicted and the rehabilitated(never actually gone to rehab)
The smoker and the quitter
The leader and the follower
I have lived in a trailer park. I have learned what "Family beyond blood" really is, cause it is most of what I have. I have done and sold drugs. I've quit drugs. I've been to jail. I have finished probation. Now I work. I do my best to be responsible. So now I will pass some of my thoughts to you. All the while telling you about me.
Never wish away the rain. It might not come back for awhile. When it does rain, play/dance in it and try to do it with someone close to you.
Sometime our darkest days aren't necessarily our worst. Sometimes we need the gloom to see what we have.
I feel you should be able to tell me anything as someone close. No matter how crushing. It's better to be honest. It's never to late to come clean, no matter how big or small. But the longer you wait the harder people take things. I know. I've been there.
It's okay to have flaws. Someone important to me said "To be perfect would be boring." and she is right. You have to have character to be interesting. Imperfections are character. Though in eyes there are those I see as perfect, but not in a literal sense.
Another note on dishonesty. I have learned to read things pretty well. If something is up, I can usually tell. Especially in relationships. No matter how emaculate or detailed the story, chances are I can see through it. Just because I don't pursue it doesn't mean you have fooled me. I'm just hoping you'll come around on your own and tell me the truth or I'm praying I'm wrong.Remember, it's never too late to be honest and I'll probably respect you more if you're honest.
I suggest learning to drive a standard transmission vehicle. Automatics take all the fun out of driving. I know it's embarassing when you stall, that doesn't change the fact driving is much more fun.
I feel everyone should get at least 1 tattoo and/or piercing just to see what the experience is like. You never know...you might like it.
Learn your lessons in life. They will help you in the future.
When you fall in love. Fall hard. Love is both beautiful and painful. So make it worth it. Don't be obsessive. That's unattractive. Be sure to give your lover the space they need. Be sure to ask for space if you need it. It's important. Sometimes less is more. Absence does make the heart grow fonder....sometimes. But if love doesn't work out the first time, don't be afraid to fall again. Eventually, you wil find the one that makes it all worth while. Don't seek out love, just let it happen, but know this.....it can be a lonely wait.
Embrace life tightly. Don't be afraid to do or say something crazy once in awhile.
Sex is great, but BE SAFE. Don't be afraid to experiment, but BE SAFE. I can not stress that enough. BE SAFE.
When you are dating, never underestimate the little things. The smallest and most subtle things can make your lover happy. Maybe it's a just a certain look you give, a specific word you says, a pet name, or an action. These things can mean the world to someone. The little things give you away.
Always find a reason to smile.
Work to live, not live to work.
Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you never been hurt.
Dance like no one is watching.
True music is passion.
