'The World's only Buckarette' Kim McAbee, had been performing with the world famous band, the 'Buckaroos' for over a decade alongside the Legendary Buck Owens until his passing in March 2006. Her performances with the 'Buckaroos' still continue at Buck Owens Crystal Palace in Bakersfield California with Live Internet and Local Radio every Friday and Saturday night giving Bakersfield a Branson Missouri dinner show theatre.
Kim McAbee has earned her share of recognition. She has been named as 'Top Female Vocalist' in Bakersfield and in Los Angeles. Her single, 'Make Believin' was awarded 'Single of the Year' by the California Country Music Association.
Kim's Debut CD, 'That's What I'm Talkin' About' released last year includes releases like the song written by and performed with the late Buck Owens, 'I'll Still Be Waiting For You', which ranked as an instant Country Classic from Music Row's Robert K. Oermann.
Other single's include 'Dirt Road Heartache', 'It's Just a Cup Of Coffee', and 'American Boys' her first top 10 song on the Spin Tracking Chart and a nomination from New Music Weekly for, 'Best New Country Artist'.
2008 looks even more promising as the CMA Roster includes Kim McAbee for, 'Who new to Watch in 2008'. Kim's current single, 'It Ain't Workin' On Me' has already charted at 3 on the STS Main Spin Tracking Chart and 3 on the STS Independent Chart, 1 on the Indie World Chart and a breakthrough for Music Row.
Kim has also been embraced world wide as her single release, 'Barely' charts at 13 on the ECMA Chart.
It was an experience of a lifetime when she was flown onto the Aircraft Carrier, USS Ranger as a part of the USO Gulf War Return Show, performing for over 4000 returning Marines.
