In 1998, a year after graduating from Davidson College, Greg bought a guitar to impress a girl. It was one of the few times that something good came of his many attempts to impress a female (He probably spends far too much time doing that).
It didn't work, and they soon went their separate ways, but Greg now had a hobby that he enjoyed, although he has never pursued it with enough vigor to sound like he's actually been playing for as long as he has.
The next few years brought a few important things: a marriage that would eventually end, a son and two daughters whom he would rear alone beginning in 2005 (and which are his reasons for most all that he does), and the realization that he enjoyed writing and performing songs.
This is probably an odd way to introduce a musician, but considering the highly personal nature of many of Greg's songs, it's all germane to the music in one way of another.
As a single parent, Greg has no intention of becoming a touring artist, but he thinks that it would be fun to sell a few CDs and (even better) have artists discover him and make him immeasurably wealthy by recording his songs.
A few people have asked about the "You've been tracked" icon below. It doesn't actually identify people individually unless they've signed up for the service also. Greg has it on here because it tells where people are from, and he thinks that it's fun to see the cities of visitors (and is always surprised to see "Milan" or "London" on the list).
He thanks you for your support and for your patience as you've read through a first-person narrative written in the third person.
