FATAL ERROR

From Matt C's memory .............. Fatal had formed in 1983 and had a few practices (aka learning to play) before Matt C. went to watch one time but Fatal's drummer dident show up so Matt C. sat in and the original drummer never came back. Matt C. and John had been in a band previously to Fatal Error called 'Symbolic Filth' with guys named Vaughn and Heath on guitar and bass which dident last long after Fatal got going. Matt C. was also in another punk band with Matt Nestor and Bob Davis that did 'covers' of the latest popular punk bands at the time. Both Fatal and 'Covers GB"(garage band) played partys around the San Fernando Valley area for a bit with Bob occasionally coming over to Fatal as a second guitarist. Ron Cerro came into Fatal in time to record 'No Clone" for the Mystic Records Party Animal compilation LP. Ron eventually went on to play with Americas Hardcore. 'Covers GB' started coming up with their own music and became 'The Remains' but things got a bit weird when both bands played together and The Remains music stood out a bit over the Fatal stuff, we were all friends but there were decisions to be made for the future of both bands. Matt C. got caught in the middle and was out of 'Fatal Error' but going strong with 'The Remains'. Fatal kinda floundered until John and Matt C. came up with the idea to combine the bands, do all the 'Remains' stuff with only a few Fatal songs and have three guitarist !! At this point it was Trey, Matt N and Bob on guitars with Dave, Matt C. and John still doing there thing. The band soon went to San Diego to record at Scene Diego Studios owned by Matt N's cousin Dave Nestor. We laid out 16-17 out of tune tracks on a weekend trip but hey, it was free !!! There was a falling out with bass player Dave and Matt C. and Dave eventually quit and Nestor took over on bass so we were back to two guitars. ............... 2am 09/28/07 I'll finish this later zzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZzzzzzzzZZZZz
