Automassage came into being on the grounds of recordings by Samo Ismajlovic, Gottfried Krienzer and later on Rok Vrbancic, on which they fused elements of guitar and electronic music.
They played some concerts in Austria and Slovenia and then took part in the 2006 Klubski Maraton of Radio Student.
At the end of 2007 Automassage have put out their debut album "the ambience between your ears is noise" under the wing of God Bless This Mess records, Nocords and 12rec.

The encounter with this innovatively constructed project seems - given the clone flooded periphery of the slovenian music scene - like an encounter of the third kind. The music of Automassage sounds astonishingly modern and up to date, brave and connected to the actual moves of the global scene, that is almost drowned in electroacoustic "Indietronic"-projects, while tries like this are stuck in embryonic strates in Slovenia. Featuring sounds that span electronic, acoustic, polyrhythmic, vocal and instrumental techniques, Sonic Frontiers: Volume 3 is by far our most diverse and experimental compilation yet.
