I enjoy hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, camping, reading, writing, anything computer-related (gaming, programming, Internet), and socializing in small groups. As far as things that interest me but are not actions in and of themselves, I am fascinated by mythology, spirituality, Jungian psychology, the works of Joseph Campbell, comparative religions, many subjects in the field of psychology (especially addictions, effects of trauma, self-injury, attachment, and personality disorders), computer programming, and a bunch of other things I can't think of right now. The short answer is "everything but chemistry." Chemistry bores me.
Someone intelligent, kind, and thoughtful.
Pretty much everything but country and most rap. My CD case currently holds lots of Ani DiFranco, Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, Alanis Morissette, Melissa Etheridge, Smashmouth, Hole, and some great mix CDs. I'm pining for CDs by Clutch and Jazz Butcher Conspiracy. I've come to accept my love of 80s hair metal. It seems strange to have music from when I was in high school on the "classic rock" radio, but I'm enjoying it anyway.
Fried Green Tomatoes, the LoTR trilogy, Magnolia, Princess Bride, When Night is Falling
I don't watch TV. (Yes, because I'm a TV snob and that makes me automatically better than you, or something silly like that.)
Anne McCaffrey, Joseph Campbell, Barbara Walker, Alice Walker, others I can't remember right now.
