About Me

Treading the line between underground house music and Detroit techno, Rod Fry is a producer and DJ whose influences are as varied as his output. He runs his own techno night in Manchester called Motor, where he is also a resident DJ. Linked to the night is his 6-deck and 2-mixer DJ project called Motorfunction, with fellow Motor resident Tom Long. Also, he does a weekly internet radio show called Motortechno. On the house side of things, Rod produces under the name of Dr. Ordinaire, having had tracks released on Lewis Keykay's label, Moov.

"When I was a kid my favourite two things were Blue Monday by New Order and playing on my Commodore 64. I haven't really changed a lot since then..."
