The brain child of professional hussy Ms Eva Braun and Photographer Mr Martyn Roper; Pin Up’s hope to offer a new twist on the alt-porn industry creating beautiful and sometimes erotic images which are created with the model in mind. Using celluloid rather than digital media stock, Pin Up’s vow never to use Photoshop to make images more alluring or the model more conventionally attractive. We relay on directing the shoot, choosing props well and experimentation with film processing methods rather than computerised trickery. We are looking to the ways of the past to create a medium for the future.The power of suggestion for us is key, we are more attracted to a stiletto hanging seductively from a stocking encased foot or a perfect white shoulder being revealed from underneath a dress rather than full frontal shots of the same identikit size zero models. We also believe in the empowerment of the subjects, our sets tell a story where the subject is in control and we are simply voyeurs. The model is in control of their set and each set will celebrate the models form. For female models the sets will celebrate femininity and yet have a truly feminist agenda.We have no specific body type, colour, race or gender of model in mind, in fact you don’t even have to be styled in a vintage way, all we ask is that you are enthusiastic committed and truthful.For more information regarding the project please consult this blog, our website will hopefully launch springtime 2008.
