Regi began her professional singing career at the tender age of 9 years old. She’s a native Chicagoan and a former Motown recording artist and songwriter.
She has toured with legends including Ray Charles (as one of the famous Raelettes), Motown icon Smokey Robinson and for the past four years with Gladys Knight throughout the US, Europe, Canada and performances nightly at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Other tours include Patti LaBelle with Norman Brown, Johnnie Gill, Deniece Williams, Della Reese and also lead singer with Rose Royce of Car Wash fame on and off for the past eight years, a diverse line-up, attesting to Regi’s extraordinary musicianship.
Her first big break came when she was invited to tour with Chuck Mangione as his featured vocalist performing throughout the US, South America, Canada and Europe. She’s also made several television appearances with him as well.
You can catch her television performances with Gladys on the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize Awards Show, the VH1 – Diva’s Live 2004 Show and the Motown 45th Anniversary Show on the BET Network. She’s also appeared with Rose Royce on the Oprah Winfrey Show, The World Cup 2006 performances, Motown Live, and Sinbad’s 70’s Funk Festival in Aruba for HBO and the 1996 Olympics with Ray Charles.
Her discography credits include the Ditch Digger’s Daughter soundtrack for MTM Enterprises, Smokey Robinson’s Who Am I Now (SBK), Beau William’s self-titled (Light), and the acclaimed Nancy Wilson’s album A Lady With A Song (CBS/Sony).
Regi just completed the US National Tour of “I Can’t Stop Loving You†a musical tribute show to Ray Charles and also the world premiere of “Just Another Manâ€, a new musical based on the life story of Clint Holmes, a Las Vegas legend.
She is currently working on her solo project entitled “The Voice of Loveâ€.
