Hermione Granger was born to muggle dentists and discovered her wizarding talents upon recieving a letter from Hogwarts. She is a dedicated student, scoring top marks in school. Her brilliance is often chastised and exhasuting, yet she continues with her heavy school load. Along with being an excellant student, Hermione is logical, witty, and a loyal friend.
Draco Malfoy born June 5, 1980 is a fictional character in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter books. His parents are Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy and the Malfoy family is described as old, aristocratic and clannish, very affluent, and proud of being pure-blooded sorcerers. It seems to be a matter of family tradition for them to attend Hogwarts as members of the House of Slytherin. Draco himself is described as a pale-faced boy with white-blond hair and cold grey eyes. The only child of the family, he shows signs of being spoiled.
Neville is a plump, rather bumbling, Gryffindor student in Harry’s class, and has a notoriously bad memory. He shares a dormitory at Hogwarts with Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Seamus Finnigan and Dean Thomas.
Neville’s best subject is Herbology, and his worst is Potions - showing great fear for the intimidating Potions instructor Professor Severus Snape. Neville owns a pet toad named Trevor, which was a gift from his great uncle Algie upon his acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Neville could have been the one that Voldemort chose as his equal, but Voldemort chose Harry Potter instead.
Ginny Weasley was born August 11, 1981. She is the youngest of Arthur Weasley and Molly Weasley’s seven children, as well as being their only daughter. She is small, with vivid red hair (trademark of her clan) and bright brown eyes. She is a talented witch, especially noted for her skill with the Bat-Bogey Hex. She also tends to get obsessed with things, such as Harry, her diary, her boyfriends, or her dislike of Fleur.Ginny is a descendant of the Weasley family, one of the oldest pure-blood wizarding families in existence, and is also a descendant of the Prewett and Black lines through marriage (her mother was a Prewett before marriage). She is sister to Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred and George - to whom she seems rather close - and Ron. She is also good friends with Harry Potter (dated him in her fifth year), Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood, and Neville Longbottom (she went to the Yule Ball with him in her third year). She is the soon-to-be sister-in-law of Fleur Delacour. She is perhaps best known for her long standing crush on the title character of Harry Potter himself, who for a long time did not feel the same way about her. He was kind to her, never laughing at her, never taunting or teasing her, never mocking her and never toying with her affections, but it was not until the fifth and sixth books that he really began to see her as a potential love interest.
Albus Dumbledore is the head master of Hogwarts. He is considered the greatest wizard of modern times. He is famous for the defeat of the dark wizard Grindelwald in 1945, the discovery of the 12 uses of blood and his work on alchemy. He enjoys chamber music and ten-pin bowling and he has a phoenix called Fawkes. He is the only one that Lord Voldemort is scared of and even the Dementors won't come into Hogwarts whilst he is there. Dumbledore was happy to help Fudge with running the Ministry until Fudge didn't believe that Voldemort had gained his old body back and power. Fudge has bnow changed his position on this but he did make it hard for Dumledore. He got him voted out of the Wizengamot, where he was Chief Warlock and was dismissed from the Chairmanship of the International Confederation of Wizards. They tried to take away his Order of Merlin as well but Dumbledore has been reinstated now that Fudge believes them. Dumbledore has so many memories that he needs to use a Pensieve to store them all but what do you expect when he is over 150 years old. He is the creator and leader of the Order of the Phoenix. He has been reinstated as Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot and to the Chairmanship of the International Confederation of Wizards.
Minerva McGonagall was born on October 4, 1925. At the beginning of the stories she is deputy Headmistress at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, head of Gryffindor House, and Transfiguration teacher, which she began teaching in December of 1956. McGonagall considers Transfiguration to be the most complex and difficult branch of magic.McGonagall has black hair, typically drawn into a tight bun. She wears emerald green robes, and always a very prim expression. She is, according to Rowling, a “sprightly†70 years old. She wears square glasses which match the markings around the eyes of her tabby cat form (McGonagall is an Animagus - a witch or wizard who is able to transform into an amimal at will - the first one to be introduced in the series). She also has a fondness for tartan patterns, apparently derived from a Scottish heritage; even her dressing gown and biscuit tin have tartan patterns. Stern, snappy, and generally reserved, Professor McGonagall has nonetheless been shown to have in mind the best interests of the students at Hogwarts, her wards in Gryffindor, and Harry himself. McGonagall was also been one of Albus Dumbledore’s staunchest supporters and is still a member of the Order of the Phoenix.
Severus Snape went to school with James Potter, Harry's dad. He hates Harry just as he hated his dad because James, Sirius and his friends were always taunting him and calling him Snivellus. He is the head of Slytherin and teaches Potions. He keeps hoping to get the Defence Against the Dark Arts job but always misses out. Snape can be evil and was once a Death Eater but Dumbledore can vouch that he is now good. He seems to be in a double-agent role to try to stop Voldemort. Snape is 35, the same age as Harry's parents, Sirius, Lupin and Wormtail. He was in Slytherin whilst he was a pupil at Hogwarts and has teached there for the past fourteen years.
Rubeus Hagrid was born December 6, 1928. He is almost always addressed by his last name. Hagrid is the groundskeeper and Care Of Magical Creatures teacher for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He is one of the first characters to imply that the idea of thinking of wizards as “purebloods†and “half-bloods†is a dated concept. Hagrid is known for his thick West country accent.
