CATALYST is a two-pronged approach to an Artist Collective, providing the tangible space, incubation and tools for creation, as well as the collaborative support, business guidance, representation, and resources necessary to create both critically and commercially successful work.
CATALYST is first and foremost an Interactive Artist Collective located in downtown Los Angeles. We are under renovation of our ideal space in an industrial neighborhood. This expansive 14,000 sf warehouse is on the third floor of a huge garment manufacturing building that has all of the elements we need: a direct access freight elevator, 2 separate entrances, 40+ windows, exposed brick walls, wood floors, high ceilings, roof access and existing character.
Catalyst also hosts The Top Floor - which is the world's first interactive webcam dance party. It's a show the young generation is owning: they're logging in. It's attracted an enormous global audience of in-the-know tastemakers who dance-party every Friday night to thousands of their peers online.
