Greasecat Records grew out of the very first Hip Hop group from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This group from Escanaba Michigan was called Void Where Prohibited . VWP was formed in 1997 by Ohmage (MC, Producer, DJ) and Crescent (MC).
Over the years, Greasecat Records released many albums by such artists as: Void Where Prohibited , Albert Oak III , The Physicist, Vice Core , Ohmage, Big League Chew, Todd Dee, MING 9, Expansion , and 084D14H . Many others have also contributed in various ways including: Dominus Minus (MC), Test-tube (MC), 4-Leaf (Producer, MC, Drums), Miljenko (Bass) The Jolly Green MC, Shishak (Producer) and Leif Kolt (MC).
