As a TV host & producer, singer and radio personality, Sally Colón-Petree has used a unique palette of talents to embark on her calling. The Chicago native's musical roots began at the tender age of 6 singing in her church's choir. Sally moved to Hollywood, California in 1996 and within six months, she landed a part in the feature film "Eight Heads in a Duffel Bag" starring Joe Pesci. Her acting opportunities continued to present themselves, landing her a lead role in an independent film with Jenna Elfman ("Dharma and Greg"), followed by several network TV roles on shows including "Friends", "Suddenly Susan," "Family Matters," and "The Young and The Restless", as well as several national commercials and the coveted spot on the cover of "Woman's World" magazine.About a year after arriving in L.A., a friend in the music industry offered Sally an opportunity to join a Latin girls' group named VIVA (later named SoLuna). Their dynamic vocal blend and crossover appeal opened doors and started a whirlwind. The group received favorable press, including an article in the June 1999 Hollywood Reporter (Latin Music, Special Issue). The article credited Ricky Martin with "igniting the current rage for Latin music" and forecasted VIVA among such Latin artists "poised for mainstream success" as Shakira and Enrique Iglesias. It also credited VIVA with bringing their manager, Suzanne DePasse (former Motown Records Executive who discovered the Jackson 5), "back into the music business." The group finally signed a 1.3 million-dollar deal with Dreamworks Records. After two years, Sally realized that being a member of VIVA was not what she was called to do, so she forfeited an opportunity that most people would only have dreamed of. Now, several years later, Sally has hosted several TV shows including "Action House TV", "Tour TV", which she also created and produced; and has co-hosted several tv shows. Her latest endeavor is as an artist manager at Dream Records / Universal Music Group based out of the Dream Center in Los Angeles, where part of the proceeds of the artist cd's goes back to help fund inner cities families in need.Sally currently lives in Valencia, California with her husband, musical artist Stephen Petree and two daughters, Isabella (4) and StevieJane (2 1/2).
