In 2004, Spohn, Peele, and Page were doing abstract improvised soundscape performances (utilizing Theremins, Moogs, gasoline cans, analog delays, etc.) in Jax, FL at Artbar, Starlite Cafe, even Starbucks(?). One guy started calling the trio 'the noise machine.' Early in 2005 the trio added drums and named the group Barnyard. Barnyard cracked out folk unplugged became 'Hayride'. Both Barnyard and Hayride performed together at one show (at the olde London Bridge pub) changing guitars, clothes and personalities during the break. At certain shows barnyard became a 5 to 8 piece improvisational acid test ensemble. Some great drummers performed with Barnyard/Hayride in 2005 but Robert McMullen fit in best with an emerging darker sound the band was making. The transition from jug band to heavy psych was official when Barnyard changed it's name to 'Holy Bible' early in 2006. With a new batch of songs and some recordings under it's belt the groups shows were constantly evolving and becoming undeniably more psychedelic. 2 members of Acid Majik were active in Telepathik Friend and Super Pizza Party in 2006. 2 duo projects exist within Acid Majik: Milk of Amnesia (McMullen and Spohn) and Cellular Terror (Peele and Page). These duos became more active than the 4 piece group at some point in '06 but a gig at a dog kennel in October of '06 under the 'Barnyard' moniker proved to be alot of fun and pushed the group back to the surface. The band put some finishing touches on earlier recordings and became 'Acid Majik'...............................
