Monaco Clothing Heist was formed back in 2005 by drummer, Mike, and lead guitarist/vocalist, Dylan. After a few jam sessions here and there, Nick "Ginger" was brought in as the bassist and the target of pranks and practical jokes within the band for the coming years. After struggling for some months to find a singer, neighborhood superstar, Evan, came in and runs the microphone and backup guitar to this day. Monaco Clothing Heist's first demo, "After the Fall," was released in January of 2008. The three song demo helped get the name out and laid the foundation for the new genre created by the band, popcore. "After the Fall" received one of the first interviews and reviews by local e-zine, "Power With Conviction," and also got a shout out by the world famous pop band, All Time Low. After playing a string of shows over the summer of 2008, including the oh so popular "Powerfest," the band settled down to record their second demo. "Attention! Attention!" was finished in September 2008. This hard hitting list of tracks has shown fans and critics alike what the boys in the Heist are capable of. From the pop-anthem that gets you dancing on the opening track, "As if We Were Legends," to the intense face melting breakdowns in the epic "We Both Know," Monaco Clothing Heist has fully defined the up and coming popcore genre. With "Attention!, Attention!" set to release this winter, the handsome gentlemen of Monaco Clothing Heist are back at school, writing new material, and getting ready for what promises to be the busiest summer for the band yet.
