Singing from the time she could walk, Carolyn Pankalla is no stranger to the music industry, although this has never been her focus. She is also no stranger to mountain-top triumphs and wilderness struggles within her life.
At the age of six, Carolyn and her traveling music ministry family (The Goad’s) were in a car accident that severely injured Carolyn and killed her mother. A few years later, her father was killed in a house fire. Out of these tragedies arose Goad International Ministries. The ministry that was started by Carolyn’s parents grew into maturity through their children. Goad International ministries reached nations of people with music and charitable giving for over 25 years.
Now Carolyn is set to embark on her own solo career with the release of her debut record “Broken Into Beautiful.†The title track of this record says it all and speaks to Carolyn’s great desire to bring hope to all those in need. Carolyn particularly has a heart for women. She spent years being tortured by self esteem and personal image issues as many women do and knows deep within her soul what it feels like to wait for Mr. Right now instead of staying with Mr. Wrong
Produced by icon producer Jim Cooper (Building 429, Petra, Decypher Down), Broken into beautiful is a record full of deep yet radio friendly songs of the human experience. Though this is seemingly oxymoronic in this day of contemplative hits, Carolyn pulls it off with great ease. So that in the end the catchy singable melodies on Broken Into Beautiful are nourishing to the soul.
