About Me

He ain't blowing his own trumpet or anything like that, but ask Mr. Alexander why UK RnB acts don't enjoy the success that their U.S counterparts and he'll tell you straight. "Cos most of 'em are crap. People are always moaning that they don't get the breaks, you have to actually be good to get a break, mate". Leicester born Mr. Alexander definitely knows how to express himself, in all ways. His favourite way is through music. Originally a rapper, Mr. Alexander first started singing when he was seventeen. He moved to London to pursue his new found talent in that same year.In 1999, a homeless Mr. Alexander got his 1st break through Plutonium Rock Entertainment and his first album, "Friday Night To Monday Morning" was born. News of a groundbreaking new artist spread ridiculously quickly from the underground up, the music industry and media likening him to greats such as Marvin Gaye, Prince, and Stevie Wonder , to name a few! From his 1st stage performance on a Trevor Nelson hosted show for BBC2, he has sung alongside the likes of Destiny's child, D' Angelo, Eve, and Carl Mackintosh of Loose Ends. Most famously, as James Brown's special guest at the 2001 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, which made Mr. Alexander the 1st British unsigned artist ever to sing at the Grammy's ! Remember "Oh Shit!"? That was Mr. A!After working the shit out of Friday Night To Monday Morning and practically forcing the poor studio engineer into a life of slavery, Mr. Alexander is back with his full band, the Stone Cold Groove, and pioneering a stunnning, raw live soul/funk style, lacerated by a hard rock influence... Look out for Mr. Alexander's forthcoming single, "I Should Be Groovin'" from the latest album, "KISSY KISSY FEELY FEELY"!Click the link below to buy EXCLUSIVE Mr. Alexander songs AVAILABLE FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY!
