Four lads from London have been brought together to form a sonically charged rock n roll group.
Melody , feedback and inspirational lyrics are all the elements that create Dead Next Door.
No huge budgets,no massive advances just great music, epic band. Low budget rock n roll , the way it should be.
In 2000 Rob and Andreas, having played together for several years in local Estonian bands (Macbeth, Skydancer, The Bleach, Big Whisky), left for the UK after having sold their equipment beforehand to raise funds for their trip (these funds though were invested in different varieties of alcohol during an almighty farewell party).
They stumbled across local drummer Gav who shared a similar taste in music. That night & several bottles later Big Whisky was reformed. The band played their first gig after just 2 rehearsals. Sensing something unique had been born the band started gigging around the masses of London venues & quickly gained a reputation for drinking heavily, playing loud & abusing their equipment.
As the music started gradually drifting towards the 'dark side', the guys disbanded Big Whisky and DND was formed in 2003. After releasing their debut album "Low Budget Rock..N..Roll" - Erik, the bands original guitarist left at the back end of 2004 and was replaced with Ed, a long time brother in shared interests of music, alcohol & guitar abuse. In 2006 DND released their second CD, this time a six track EP entitled 'Time To Fight', influenced by bands from East and West, namely Kino, Metro Luminal, Joy Division, The Cure etc.
Within the last couple of years DND have been pushing the boundaries of the unsigned alternative rock music scene, gaining further reputation and excellent reviews, also playing well known venues such as The Barfly, The Waterats, The Hope & Anchor, The Underworld, Dublin Castle & bigger venues such as The Marquee, Scala & The Leas Cliff Hall .
The band now has 4 videos under their belt for the tracks "Twenty Seven" and "Shake It Tonight" the latter being a reflection of a small European tour, & also from the upcoming album 'FLOW' video & title track 'Flow' & the excellent '15 Minutes Late'.
DND play exciting, fresh music & by mixing that with the energetic live performances they pull off, gig after gig, it leaves you with the sweet taste of a rock n' roll cocktail in your mouth.. I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
